Leaf mould

One of the best parts of mowing grass is the sweet crumbly leaf mould.  Leaf mould is the decay of weeds or grass clippings,  I use leaf mould as a soil conditioner or as a mulch, spreading it on the surrounding of my fruit trees.  As leaves decompose, they supply essential nutrients into the soil and lock moisture.

Grass clippings are among the best leaf mould that is easily available at my farm, every time after mowing, I will spread the grass clippings around the fruit tree, while they sit there, they decompose and feed my plants, this crumbly leaf mould contains tons of beneficial bacteria.  Making leaf mould can be as complicated or as uncomplicated as you want, for me I choose the simples way by spreading it on the soil and leaving it to nature to do its jobs.
